Traditionally, MVPS like so many companies and organizations, has collected food during the month of November. Yet after many classes spent time with the Community Assistance Center in Sandy Springs, learners discovered the leanest time of year for giving occurs in the spring. Reflecting on this experience as well as the feedback received from Community Assistance Center volunteers, Mount Vernon strategically decided our food collection drive would occur every year in April.
