In the Upper and Middle Schools, Interim Week is usually filled with travel and internship opportunities. 2021 plans have been altered to reflect the COVID-19 pandemic. With all campuses operating under normal school hours that week, we are encouraging our Mount Vernon community to deepen their impact with hands-on and/or hands-off service. Through the MVCares volunteer group, Mount Vernon has curated a variety of service opportunities for students and families to leverage their time, skills and resources to make a difference from home, school, and in our local community that kicks-off the week of March 1. With so many ways to serve, every family can go out on their own to find a path to fit their schedule, availability, and level of comfort. Opportunities will be updated regularly.
Each organization will sign-off on any volunteer hours accumulated outside of class.
