Understanding Concussions
Here, you can schedule a concussion evaluation with a member of our MV Sports Medicine staff. Please note, concussion may take up to 72 hours before they fully present; however, early recognition and diagnosis is key to implementing the proper recovery procedures.

Understanding Sudden Cardiac Arrest
Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) is a condition in which the heart unexpectedly stops beating. SCA is usually caused by an electrical disturbance in the heart. SCA results in death if not treated within minutes.
Student Aide Internship Opportunity
Each season, the MV Sports Medicine Department takes on a few new Student Aides (SA) to work alongside the Athletic Trainers to learn our profession from an “in the field” perspective. This opportunity gives you the chance to learn the fundamentals of athletic training and what the profession can offer.
There are only two criteria to participate. First, you must be ambitious and eager to learn about the field of sports medicine. Second, you may not participate in a sport (school or club) during the season in which you want to participate as a SA intern.
