My name is Ryan Hart, Director of Sports Medicine here at Mount Vernon School. I would like to extend you a warm welcome from the MV Sports Medicine Department. Here, you will discover information regarding the MV Sports Medicine Department with resources concerning the Athletic Training Facility (ATF) hours of operation, a look inside sports medicine, and meet the staff.
A brief introduction about myself. I am a state licensed and nationally certified athletic trainer. Graduate of Delta State University out of Cleveland, MS having earned a B.S. in Athletic Training and a B.S. in Exercise Physiology. I received fellowship training under a shoulder and elbow surgeon from the Mississippi Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Center in 2012-2013. Joined Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta - Sports Medicine in January 2014 placed at Mount Vernon School. Then, hired as the Director of Sports Medicine at Mount Vernon School in 2017.
Our team physicians are Dr. Steve Kroll - Team Medical Director, Dr. Cliff Willimon - Team Orthopaedic Surgeon, Dr. Allan Peljovich - Team Hand and Upper Extremity Surgeon, and Dr. Thomas Burnes - Team Neuropsychologist. Dr. Koll is a primary care sports medicine physician with Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta - Meridian Mark Office Building with specialized training in the management of musculoskeletal injuries and concussions. Dr. Willimon is an orthopedic surgeon with Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta - Meridian Mark Office Building with specialized training in hip, knee, and shoulder injuries. Dr. Peljovich is a hand and upper extremity surgeon with The Hand and Upper Extremity Center of Georgia. Dr. Thomas Burnes is a neuropsychologist with Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta - Meridian Mark Office Building with specialized training in the management of brain injury, cerebral palsy, concussion, epilepsy, and neuroimaging.
Our team Physical Therapists, Sarah Holland, DPT and Renada Armendariz, DPT, are with Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta - Meridian Mark Office Building. Sarah and her staff at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta have a newly remodeled physical therapy clinic and are dedicated to providing the quality of care that you would expect for your child.
Should your child need our services, rest assured they are in the best of care. We are reachable at the contact information provided below. The MV Sports Medicine Department is a “free for service” provider, meaning that we do not charge for our services rendered to your child. Our resources continue to grow daily and we are striving to increase our capabilities to better serve our MV Families.
