MVPS Shares the Well with Pebble Tossers
Living out the School’s mission of preparing students to be engaged citizen leaders as well as affirming Mount Vernon’s cultural norm of Sharing the Well, Pebble Tossers, Inc. continues to be a critical partner of Mount Vernon.
Last year Pebble Tossers provided enormous support to MVPS by organizing many service experiences for students and families. The non-profit organized Mount Vernon’s 2016 and 2017 Helping Hands Day service projects. While Tropical Storm Irma has delayed the Middle and Upper School HHD experiences, the entire School community is invited to participate in multiple opportunities this school year to serve people and organizations in need.
Families are encouraged to sign up for one of the many opportunities offered through April here: http://bit.ly/mvfamvol1718
Says Pebble Tossers Executive Director Jen Guynn, “It is a pleasure to work with students who have a foundation for innovative thinking and with an administration that goes out of its way to support students. As our partnership gains momentum, we look forward to challenging students to identify problems within their community and to creatively design solutions that provide meaningful impact."
Founded in 2008, Pebble Tossers is a nonprofit organization empowering and developing young people to be lifelong volunteers by connecting them with age-appropriate service projects.
